an invitation from Alice Deane, WSU Master Gardener-San Juan County
Get ready to choose and plant! This yearʼs spring plant sale is coming up on Saturday May 10th, the day before Mothers Day. Our dedicated team of master gardeners has been growing a variety of tomatoes, peppers, squashes, cucumbers, and brassicas for you. Plus basil and other herbs. Weʼve got a plethora of perennials dug from our own master gardener flower plots and even a few things from the Native Plant Sale. This is your chance to get growing and start your vegetable garden on its way to feeding you and your family.
As always, the sale will be at the Mullis Senior Center in Friday Harbor from 9 till 12. Be sure to arrive early because we sell out of things at a rapid pace. Tell your friends and family so they can take advantage of this opportunity to obtain varieties not often seen out there in the world of commercial nurseries.
Weʼll also be hosting the Friday Harbor Animal Shelter Bake Sale, so you can snack while shopping (if youʼve got a free hand) and take some goodies home with you.
Support the Master Gardeners, and take home master gardener-grown plants for your garden! Contact Alice with questions at tedalicedeane @ rockisland.com.
