Hello Master Gardeners!
You are invited to a special meeting of the Master Gardener Foundation on Monday, Sept. 16, at 11:30am in Friday Harbor. The purpose of the meeting is to explain the difference between the SJ County MG Foundation and the SJ County MG Program and why the Foundation is now applying for independent incorporation as a non-profit in WA state and for 501(c)(3) status with the IRS. All Master Gardeners are invited to attend. The meeting is being held at the Islanders Bank Administration building, a gray building across the bank parking lot. Rides from the ferry landing can be arranged.
This special meeting will be followed by a MG Foundation board meeting. The agenda for this portion of the meeting so far is:
1. Report and discussion of the progress of the non-profit status committee including request for approval of the Articles of Incorporation and to submit application to the Secretary of State for incorporation in WA ST as a non-profit corporation.
2. Report and discussion of planning progress on the Spring Gardening Workshop, 2014.
3. Other business put on the agenda by board members
